Overview

The Assistant Golf Professional assists the Head Golf Professional in the management of day-to-day Golf Operations of the facility.

The position is responsible to supervise and manage total golf operations in the absence of the Head Golf Professional. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all Members.

Essential Responsibilities

It must be recognized that all specific duties cannot be listed and that responsibilities will change accordingly as the need arises.

• Responsible for all facets of golf operations, including the supervision and training of outside services, starters, and rangers
• Assist with Member check in ; control and manage play
• Assist with Opening and Closing Procedures
• Assist in managing Cedar Creek Country Club tournament operations and weekly events including planning, pre-tournament event sheets, post tournament billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow up.
• Assist in Player Development in all Spring Run Associations
• Conduct Individual Lessons and Group Clinics
• Assist with Head Golf Professional with management of outside services, rangers, and starters to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved
• Assist the Head Golf Professional with training all golf operations staff
• Assist in managing golf cart fleet, practice facility, and club storage
• Directly responsible for timely and consistently maintaining Cedar Creek Country Club USGA Handicap System (GHIN)
• Provide Club Repair and club fitting services to Members
• Assist in planning and budgeting for the golf operations
• Assist in the inventory control of hard goods, special orders , ordering procedures, receiving procedures, displays, and sales
• Play golf with a variety of Members of all skill levels
• Assist with the administrations of staff work schedules in accordance with the Human Resources Department
• Assist in coordinating golf activities with other departments within Cedar Creek Country Club
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

The ability to speak English is necessary to converse with our members and guests. Proper diction is valued to maintain the ambiance of high level service to our members.

The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, members and the general public is important.

REASONING ABILITY :

It is necessary to have the ability to solve practical problems that may arise. Our team members must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
